- Added a current screen shot to left. Maybe I'm getting cliche as far as LiteStep sites go? Well cliche or not my current desktop is available.
- I've added a counter to the left column and one to the splash screen as an attempt to see how many "real" hits actually enter this site.
- Oh, by the way, it seems to have been mentioned every place else so I might as well mention it here: The new some-what officially released distribution of LiteStep has finally been finished in the form of LSDistro. And since the community at large has made such a big deal out of it I have added to the left.

- Completed my transition to extensive use of embedded tables. Took a while to get implement on the article's page but I did it. Hopefully this will be a site design to stick with, at least for a while.
- Made a few more minor improvements. Hope this site is getting better and better all the time.

8 September, 2001

- Made the minor improvement of a side column for relavent links and other information and whatever. At least I hope it is an improvement. Originally I avoided a vertical bar on the side to acommodate the few non-table browsers still roaming around and to enforce that whole K.I.S.S. concept whole-heartedly. I hope I haven't ruined that. (note: K.I.S.S. stands for Keep It Simple Stupid)

3 September, 2001

- I've added yet more links to the links page.
- If it's possible to have an option to turn off graphics on the links page without creating another page or implementing some server side include, I'm going to have to figure that out. Probably not possible. Although some sites have a choice-of-color scheme feature including matching graphics, but that might be using server side includes. Yet more reading for me to do.
- Came up with an introductory paragraph. I've got big plans for the the layout of the site.
- Also came up with these great hyphon bullets.

- I'm using a new e-mail address now because my preferred one won't let me login for some reason.
- Added a couple links to the links page.
- Switched counter services because I wanted more detail than simply a number. Loads faster anyway. Right?

27 August, 2001

I thought I should update this a little bit. So I fixed a couple things. I don't know that I'll be able to work on this a whole lot now as I have a lot of school units to worry about. So I've decided this is as close as I'm going to get to being ready to launch (welcome!). And as always I'll soon be adding some... what-do-ya-call-it... "content". ^_^
Just not sure what yet. As always feedback is welcome.

21 August, 2001

There's now a special "easter egg" on one of these pages. No, it's not that special but still thought it was just soooooo special.
I finally added an event response to all the linked vacabulary words in my article, Shell if I Know. So if you need a definition of one of those words, a convenient pop-up is a click away. By the way, any comments on anything on this page including the article would be greatly appreciated.

I re-designed the "detection page" to be a little more pleasent to look at. Although I scrapped the original detection page so it doesn't really "detect" anything anymore. Also removed all the links to the "detection page" from all the pages. The titles of all the links on the links page are now bold, and better.

17 August, 2001

I finally added a title graphic to all the pages. Well it's not so much a graphic as a very uninspired- looking table with LiteStep Log printed in it. It took me a while make it look "right" though. Also I finally have some actual content on the progress page. An article called "Shell if I Know". Feedback on it is more than welcome. I've added a new screen shot to the screen shots section (no revealing winamp skins included this time). I also played with the syle sheet yet again, adjusting paragraphs and link hover effects.
If you've been here before don't forget to reload/refresh : )

After a bit a a break (real life stuff) from really working on this site I'm back on task. I've removed the title graphics and made some nifty 3D buttons with a mouse over feature. I'm going to put some sort of title graphic up eventually. I don't know how to work that out yet.

26 July, 2001

Played around with the style sheet settings. It's not the best at this moment.

25 July, 2001

Finally settled on this new blue color scheme. It got the best consensus of all the people I asked. I asked two people and they both liked it. Also changed 'detection page' to the same blue color.

25 July, 2001

In an attempt to figure out the right color scheme I've given each page a different set of colors. I don't know which one I will go with yet, I like the blue and the light green of "home".

24 July, 2001

Added links to the most known (to me) LiteStep Distributions available. See the links page. Also did some annotating and minor re-arranging of layout on links page.

23 July, 2001

Added sections and several links to Links page. Experimented with color schemes and fancy table effects. Yes, I will get to "content" soon, very soon. Until then links to different LS distributions are available on the links page. I put quite a bit into layout and color scheme. Also organized and added a shot to screenshots.

21 July, 2001

I made a fancy button in case anyone wants to link to LiteStep Log. Okay it's not that impressive. I did make it with GIMP for Windows. Trust me that's no small feat. Have you tried to use that port? More bugs than that movie Starship Troopers (a lot) ^_^. Here's my great button:

20 July, 2001

Did some layout and experimenting with color schemes, but little in the way of content.

17 July, 2001

Started to really work on this site seriously. Removed a newly realized useless page, added my first three links to the links page, started on the progress page, added a generic explanation of what LiteStep is to the detection page and took the beginning steps towards creating an official LiteStep Log graphic (the ugly faded binary thing on the detection page). Also I teamed up with a friend of mine who doesn't have a knick-name but may want one.
